Laboratory Technician

This role requires an individual with a strong foundation in laboratory practices and procedures. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine technical tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our teaching laboratories.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of relevant systems and equipment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also possess a high level of organizational skill, with attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities. You will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, eager to learn and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: £24,050 - £24,600 per annum

The Role:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning activities of our faculty. Your duties will include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing materials and samples, and assisting students with practical exercises.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics, and Biology/Chemistry. You should also have evidence of practical experience working in a laboratory/kitchen or other controlled environment. A salary of £24,050 - £24,600 per annum makes this a competitive offer.
