About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our esteemed team within the Private Client department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of private client work, representing clients in private client legal matters, and collaborating with our Directors to meet performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising a team of one Legal Executive and one secretary undertaking private client work.
  • Managing appropriate caseload types and complexities.
  • Attending clients, taking instructions, and preparing cases.
  • Handling correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate time and cost records.
  • Implementing recommendations from Directors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, including Lexcel standards.
  • Assisting with casework and a range of duties.
  • Handling financial deputyship and health and welfare deputyship applications.
  • Managing financial and health and welfare lasting powers of attorney applications.
  • Assisting clients with Court of Protection applications for personal welfare deputyships.
  • Managing files effectively, including costs and time recording.
  • Visiting clients, some of whom lack capacity.
Requirements
  • Broad, well-established background.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years PQE.
  • Professional, pro-active approach with excellent client care skills and the ability to handle client matters sensitively.
