SEN Teacher for Children with Autism

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Starfyn Education. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is a long-term, full-time SEN Teaching position that requires a passionate and empathetic individual who can provide high-quality education and support to children with ASD. You will work closely with families, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality education and support to children with ASD in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
  • Work closely with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide additional training to upskill the team and parents to support the development of new skills in the learner.
  • Offer support for the school's students before, during, and after their lessons.
  • Help promote each student's love of learning and inspire and engage with children with a wide range of additional learning needs.
  • Develop and use highly specialist teaching and therapeutic interventions to increase feelings of safety within the learner, develop trusting relationships with adults, and improve their capacity to engage and participate in learning across contexts.
  • Provide well-being support to improve well-being and reduce the learner's anxiety and stress, reduce risks to the learner and/or those around them.
Requirements
  • Child Care Experience - Through personal or professional experience.
  • Special needs experience - Experience through family, friends, or professional environments.
  • QTS or QTLS.
  • EYFS Teaching Experience.
