Job Title: Area Sales Manager for Interior Doors

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a comprehensive range of high-quality interior doors and ancillary products to independent builders merchants and specialist door retailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field sales position selling interior doors and ancillary products to independent builders merchants and specialist door retailers
  • Majority of time spent selling to independent builders merchants, with the remaining portion spent selling to specialist door retailers and joinery retailers
  • Liaise with internal team regarding account management of existing clients
  • Dealing with order values ranging from £2k to £60k per month
  • 80% account management and 20% new business
  • Organising own diary and visits to develop relationships with merchants
  • Liaising with internal support staff and marketing team to maximise sales within the territory
Requirements:
  • Field sales experience selling to builders merchants
  • Open to products sold, but knowledge of joinery products such as windows, doors, skirtingboard, internal doors, flooring or related products is advantageous
  • New business hunter mentality, not looking for an account management role
  • Experience of developing long-term relationships with clients
  • Track record of stability within your career
  • Genuine get-up-and-go work ethic
  • Results-oriented, hungry, and enthusiastic
