About the Role

As a senior electrical design engineer, you will lead building services design projects within a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. You will collaborate with other disciplines to deliver complete scheme designs, taking ownership of resolving technical challenges and troubleshooting issues that arise.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake design work through all RIBA Stages, including feasibility reports, concept designs, spatial coordination, detailed design, construction monitoring, and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Provide expertise in selecting and specifying mechanical equipment, materials, and components, considering factors like performance, cost, and sustainability goals.
  • Deliver or input into decarbonisation, sustainability, and net-zero carbon strategies.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require an accredited Building Services degree and significant experience in a similar position. You should be working towards IEng or CEng with CIBSE, IET, or IMechE. Strong communication skills are essential for articulating complex issues to clients and stakeholders. Your ability to inspire confidence internally and externally will strengthen client relationships.

  • Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, Trimble Pro-Design, Bluebeam.
