Metalworking Craftsperson

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team at Rubicon People Partnership. As an Aerospace Sheet Metal Worker, you will play a vital role in fabricating high-quality sheet metal components for aircraft manufacturing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating sheet metal parts according to customer drawings and specifications
• Operating various sheet metal machinery, including wheeling jigs, rollers, brake presses, stretch formers, shrinkers, and stretching machines
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve tight production deadlines
• Supporting other departments as needed following appropriate training

To succeed in this position, you should have:

• The ability to read and interpret complex aircraft drawings and specifications
• Hands-on experience with hand-forming double-curvature parts in aluminium and steel for aircraft applications
• A completed apprenticeship in aviation or a similar field, with at least 5 years of experience in sheet metal production
• A proven track record of producing high-quality, detailed sheet metal components
