Child Nutrition Expert

Bright Horizons Family Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Child Nutrition Expert to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing healthy meal plans, managing food stock levels, and promoting nutrition education among our children.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working 15 hours per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our Springfield Lodge nursery. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting healthy meals for our children, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and collaborating with the nursery team to ensure seamless service delivery.

We offer a competitive salary of £27,427 - £38,160 per annum PRO RATA (dependant on qualification/s and experience) and a range of benefits including discounted childcare, holiday entitlement, and access to a development programme.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing healthy meal plans for our children
  • Managing food stock levels and ensuring minimal wastage
  • Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
  • Liaising with the nursery team and parents to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Promoting nutrition education and healthy eating habits among our children


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a domestic or commercial setting
  • A passion for developing and implementing healthy meal plans and promoting nutrition education
  • FDA Food Safety CIEH L2 or above certification (or equivalent)
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
