Project Estimator

£55,000 - £70,000 per annum

Torchlight Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team. Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, the successful candidate will work on MOD and Defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for new projects
  • Pricing work off engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Monitor project costs and budgeting to ensure efficient resource allocation
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to drive project success
  • Review and analyse contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks
  • Develop tender documents and contracts that meet project requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • RICS or CIOB accreditation preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in quantity surveying and estimating
  • Strong knowledge of MOD and Defence project requirements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and estimating software
