We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Tester to join our team at InterQuest Group. As a Business Intelligence Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and performance of business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
Key Responsibilities:- Test BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards, for accuracy, performance, and user experience.
- Validate that the data is consistent, reliable, and meets the business requirements.
- Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify testing needs, and provide feedback on BI solutions.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the BI environment, ensuring that all components of the solution are tested thoroughly.
- Produce detailed testing documentation, including test results, issues identified, and recommendations for resolution.
- Proven experience in testing Business Intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and execute complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent, and experience in testing their outputs.
- Experience with Data Warehousing and the ability to validate data at various stages of the data pipeline.
- Analytical mindset to identify discrepancies and ensure the data presented to stakeholders is accurate and reliable.
- Financial services experience with a solid understanding of financial data, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Python knowledge for automating testing processes or performing data manipulation.
- Cloud platform familiarity such as Azure or AWS for working with data warehousing solutions.
