About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Robert Walters Operations Limited. As a key member of our global manufacturing business, you will be responsible for ensuring trade compliance for customs clearance for all exports globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customs compliance strategies to ensure seamless import and export processes.
  • Oversee the classification of goods according to the UK Trade Tariff and EU CN Codes to determine applicable duties and taxes.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies, and internal departments to ensure smooth customs clearance processes.
  • Conduct reviews of all import/export declarations made by external customs agents.

About the Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within trade compliance or broader logistics experience within exports would be an advantage.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry would be beneficial.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • A desire to continue to develop within a customs compliance career route.
