About the Role

Stirling Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled Principal Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our Simulation, Dynamics and Control capability group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying modelling methodologies in various areas, including multi-system models, actuator control, and dynamic loads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy modelling methodologies in various areas, including multi-system models, actuator control, and dynamic loads.
  • Work with other engineers and the Capability group Technical Manager to develop and deploy methodologies.
  • Lead technical projects and manage the tasks and workload of other project engineers.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industrial experience in the aerospace and/or marine industries.
  • Hands-on modelling experience covering various areas, including multi-system models, actuator control, and dynamic loads.
  • Strong knowledge of modelling toolsets, including Matlab/Simulink, Ansys, and Nastran.
  • Experience of leading technical projects and managing the tasks and workload of other project engineers.
