Job Title: Field-Based Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field-Based Engineer to join our team. As a Field-Based Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the build activity with our partners, ensuring that the build is completed in accordance with Virgin Media policies, processes, H&S, NRSWA, and the Code of Practice for co-ordination of streetworks compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support design overview and route feasibility, addressing wayleave areas, and applying civils knowledge to identify potential Special Engineering Difficulties (SED's) and physical challenges.
  • Drive and participate in early partner engagement, contribute to delivery planning, and be responsible for risk identification and management.
  • Ensure permits, conditions, and SLG are compliant to the NRSWA for co-ordination of street works, and CDM regulations, HSE project requirements.
  • Relationship management with local authorities for the programme, delivery, and coordination of works, traffic management requirements, and through progress meetings and daily dialogue.
  • Conduct Field Safe on Arrival, live & retrospective audits to ensure responsibility of compliance with all current legislation and Virgin Media specifications.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, understand, and replan SLD's & job packs, including multiple dependencies.
  • Full NRSWA Supervisor Accreditation essential.
  • Proven track record of managing and supervising telecommunication build partners in the field of civils and fibre installations.
  • Experience of HFC and FTTP architectures.
