We are seeking an experienced Lead Financial Reporting Specialist to support our global operations and expand our finance capabilities in Liverpool. As a key member of our Account to Report team, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounting activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP and AIFRS, with at least 5 years' experience in a multi-national company. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing guidance and support to accounts assistants as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Statutory Reporting: Owns all statutory reporting process, including year-end and half-year audit leasing with group and local audit teams.
  • Month End Close: Owns month-end close process; reconciles accounts, posts journal entries and maintains accurate general ledger with key focus given to balance sheet and inter-company accounts.
  • Support: Supports accounts assistants in day-to-day operations providing guidance and support where required.
  • Forecast and Budget: Owns quarterly forecast and yearly budget submissions, reconciling planning tool through to consolidation tool, planning for the balance sheet and cashflow.
  • ERP Support: Supports the business in the financial transacting of data within the ERP system.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years' experience in a multi-national company
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and AIFRS
  • Background in audit or lead participation role in statutory audits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build/maintain sound relationships with multiple levels and cross-functionally with Finance Business Partners and various Finance Centres of Excellence

This role is based out of our Financial Shared Service Centre in Speke, Liverpool. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office. We offer a competitive salary range of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
