Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team. You will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care during the perioperative episode.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team
  • Working as a Surgical First Assistant within scope of practice, across a caseload of orthopaedic, general, gynaecology and urology surgery
  • Contributing towards quality improvements and promoting best practice
  • Acting as a mentor and supporting the development of junior staff members
  • Working as a Theatre Practitioner across various specialities when not acting as SFA

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Surgical First Assistant Qualification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Immediate Life Support provider
  • Mentorship qualification
