Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Coding Professional to join our team at North Metro Knoxville Medical. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, with a focus on preparing and submitting claims to third-party payers and guarantors.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be eligible for a 401(k) plan and have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit claims and statements to third-party payers and guarantors.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to accounts receivable.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve billing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing-related issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business). High school diploma or GED certificate acceptable if supplemented with relevant certifications.
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical billing and coding.
  • Strong understanding of ICD-9/10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary Range:

$58,000 - $78,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
