Job Title: Paint Inspector - Coating Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paint Inspector - Coating Expert to join our team at Rotork. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating our paint processes, carrying out inspections, and ensuring our painted products are compliant with Rotork Manufacturing Instructions and Customer Specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment
• Schedule project inspections in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
• Monitor the application(s) of a variety of industrial coatings
• Perform extensive plant coating surveys according to client and company procedures and specifications
• Recommend corrective actions to engineering for evaluation
• Assess conditions of internal and external coatings on various Actuators and Gear boxes
• Observe and record that blasting operations are in compliance with procedures and specifications
• Ensure the equipment is function tested and in optimum operating condition for the project
• Mentor blaster and coaters on procedures, equipment and specifications
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• NACE Level 1 or equivalent
• I.O.S.H. Qualification in Risk assessing (desirable)

Background and Experience:

• Has "expert knowledge" of corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety
• Can undertake unsupervised non-destructive and destructive inspections of liquid and non-liquid coatings applied to any substrate
• Has demonstrated technical knowledge and problem-solving ability regarding issues that may arise on site and is capable of supervising other coating inspectors
