About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HCPC registered Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join our team at HMP The Mount, Hemel Hempstead. This is a part-time role working 1 day a week, offering a unique opportunity to work in a prison environment and contribute to the rehabilitation and support of offenders.

As an MSK Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating a range of MSK pathologies, including complex and chronic presentations. You will work closely with our Clinical Lead and be part of a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare team delivering high-quality, best practice treatment.

This role offers excellent career development opportunities, including in-service training and funding for external clinical courses. You will also be part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists in immigration centres and prisons across the country.

Main Duties
  • Assess and treat MSK pathologies, including complex and chronic presentations
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead and healthcare team to deliver high-quality treatment
  • Contribute to the rehabilitation and support of offenders
  • Participate in in-service training and external clinical courses to enhance professional development
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Post-graduate experience in MSK physiotherapy
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
