About the Role
The successful candidate will lead and motivate a team of Accounts Payable Specialists, managing day-to-day activities, promoting a professional culture, and fostering teamwork. Key responsibilities include process improvement, supporting new technologies, creating controls, and ensuring timely invoice processing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Accounts Payable Specialists, coordinating daily activities and promoting a professional environment.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and create action plans to implement change.
- Support the integration of new technologies to enhance operations.
- Create and monitor systems of controls, procedures, and forms for fixed asset recordation and AP process management.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, including coding and posting.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate supplier statement reconciliations.
- Brief suppliers and internal departments on queries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage internal escalations and be the initial point of contact for Construction and Fixed Assets AP team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess experience working in similar Accounts Payable positions, proficiency in MS Office, and prior experience with ERP systems. You must also demonstrate strong administration, numerical, planning, and organisational skills, as well as analytical abilities covering written, graphic, numerical, and statistical information.
