At VRS-UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Science Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our DNA testing services, you will be responsible for leading a team of accomplished Forensic Scientists in delivering results to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will possess strong team management experience, with the ability to motivate and empower a team of scientists to achieve exceptional results. You will be responsible for direct line management, including performance reviews, target setting, and professional development plans. Additionally, you will ensure team and individual wellbeing, schedule workload and personnel appropriately, and use Lean methodologies to optimize efficiency and profitability.

We are looking for a candidate who can clearly communicate the business vision and strategy to the team, develop and implement KPIs, and monitor team outputs. You will also be responsible for managing team operating costs, nurturing an ethos of continuous improvement, and managing quality issues and non-conformances.
