We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Simply Education Northampton. As an SEN TA, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for our students.
About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN learners in the classroom. You will assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies, and help to create an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one or small group support to SEN learners in the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
- Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
- Previous experience as a classroom TA, preferably supporting SEN learners in mainstream or specialist settings.
- NVQ qualification is ideal, but Unqualified Teaching Assistants (UTAs) with relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting SEN learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
