Financial Services Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Risk Manager to join our dynamic team at LG Select Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our risk management strategy and ensuring the effective implementation of our risk framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and deputise for the Investment Risk Director, including attending committees/forums, decision-making, and reporting.
- Develop and deliver the 1st Line Investment & Outsourcing Risk Framework, including:
- Oversight of all group investment activity and approvals, ensuring regulatory due diligence and investment risk assessments are conducted.
- Risk-based onboarding due diligence and ongoing oversight of the group's outsourced service/supplier network.
- Monitor macroeconomic and regulatory environments, assess impacts on processes, controls, and emerging risks, ensuring the risk framework remains fit for purpose.
- Maintain and enhance policies/processes, including ensuring a clear audit trail, and managing workload allocation and prioritisation.
- Define and improve risk metrics and data-driven risk reporting.
- Collaborate with the Investment Risk Director to expand the scope of the Investment Framework to encompass broader business initiatives (e.g., contingent servicing).
- Lead, mentor, and upskill the team to enhance knowledge and effectiveness.
- Share best practices and support the business in making informed decisions and improving overall knowledge.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in a financial services role within a regulated environment (essential).
- Experience in third-party servicer/supplier management and/or investment/portfolio risk.
- Proven experience in managing teams and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ideally, experience in navigating organisational growth or change at pace.
- Strong understanding of relevant UK regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
