About Ongar Building Services

Ongar Building Services is a reputable family-run construction company established in 2004. Our office is based in Essex, and we are currently seeking a Trainee Estimator to join our expanding team.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our estimating team in various aspects of the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting site visits to assess project requirements
  • Collaborating with our estimating team to prepare accurate estimates
  • Liaising with clients and other office staff to ensure seamless communication
  • Organizing and updating paperwork to maintain efficient operations
  • Preparing invoice breakdowns to ensure timely payments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software
  • A smart and professional appearance
  • Dedication to our company's high standards
  • Efficient timekeeping and organizational skills
Essential Qualifications

We require:

  • Must be over 21 years of age and hold a full UK driving license
  • General knowledge of various types of building work, refurbishment, and day-to-day maintenance
