Senior Solution Architect (Presales - Digital)
Location: Remote
Permanent
Salary: £95,000 - £110,000 (+ bonus)

Key Responsibilities: Engage with potential customers to build trust and credibility, shape software and data solutions for challenges and requirements, and attend pre-sales meetings to determine business vision, challenges, needs, and explore solution options.

Role Purpose: To lead on bespoke development and digital services projects, actively engaging with customers, and articulating technology, services, and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Engage confidently and passionately with customers to build trust and credibility.
  2. Excite customers about our capabilities and solutions.
  3. Facilitate customer workshops to identify business challenges and requirements.
  4. Support customers in building a case for change.
  5. Explore solution options with prospective clients and recommend innovative, compelling, and cost-effective solutions.
  6. Oversee the development of prototypes or demonstrations to build confidence and prove value.
  7. Establish customer consensus for the recommended solution and approach.
  8. Lead the preparation and delivery of presales presentations and demonstrations.
  9. Own and drive the technical solution in major bids, guiding teams of solution architects and technical SMEs to propose innovative, compelling, and cost-effective solutions.
  10. Contribute technical content as part of RFI/RFP/ITT/bid responses.
  11. Own the cost model for technical solutions in bids, liaising with engineering teams to define costs.
  12. Liaise with engineering and delivery leads to define delivery plans and resource models for bids.
  13. Coordinate effective peer review of estimates.
  14. Coordinate Infosec and Solution and Cloud reviews of technical solutions in bids.

Essential Experience: Proven track record in technical presales, shaping and leading the technical aspects of bespoke digital and data opportunities, knowledge and experience of UK Public Sector procurement and bespoke digital solutions, and subject matter expertise in digital services development, application modernization and transformation, bespoke software development, data management consultancy, data, analytics, and AI solutions.

Essential Skills: Energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic, able to generate excitement and buy-in from clients, customer-focused, committed to providing high-quality services and solutions, creative and innovative in delivering customer success, keen eye for detail and ability to infer and clarify unstated requirements, effective communication of customer requirements to bid contributors and senior management, organized and confident in facilitating client workshops, excellent communication and presentation skills with impact and clarity, ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff, exceptional relationship and stakeholder management, gravitas and ability to develop trust with clients, and adaptable to changing business and customer needs.
