About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our commercial delivery team, you will be responsible for assisting the Surveying department with cost management for development and contracting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the compilation of tender packages for sub-contract trades.
- Receive and analyze tenders, comparing levels and making recommendations.
- Issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice.
- Liaise with the Build Department on sub-contractors' performance and compliance with order conditions.
- Assist with the production of sub-contract orders to meet site programmed build requirements.
- Provide forecast and site budget information to meet business reporting requirements.
- Control and report post-contract cost movements.
- Process invoices and applications for payments in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
Requirements
- HNC / Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Construction management or equivalent.
- Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
- Strong mathematical and IT ability.
- Good understanding of standard measurement rules.
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Ability to assess and analyze information.
- Good business sense.
- Good understanding of budget management.
- Negotiating and networking skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
