We are seeking an experienced Clinical Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team of around 130 people, including allied health professionals, nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians and patients, providing clinical support tasks, infection control, restocking, and stock rotation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing venepuncture, removal of sutures and clips, ECGs, spirometry, urine testing, blood pressure measurement and monitoring, and follow-up dressings.
  • Assisting with minor surgery procedures, teaching inhaler technique, and supporting annual diabetic reviews.
  • Providing advice on health promotion, including new patient health checks for patients with long-term conditions.
  • Acting on yellow flag reminders and assisting with the recall of patients for review.
  • Entering data on childhood immunizations, influenza, computerizing letters and notes, and undertaking chaperone duties.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a nursing team, preferably in a GP practice setting. Essential qualifications include GCSE grade A-C in English and maths, computer literacy, and trained in safeguarding. Having own transport is also a requirement.
