Waste Water Site Engineer/Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Water Site Engineer/Inspector to join our team at Advanced Water Infrastructure Networks (AWIN). As a key member of our Waste Water team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the adoption of new drainage assets from developers.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with developers to ensure the installation of adoptable waste water infrastructure meets our standards.
- Inspect and survey drains and sewers as they are laid, identifying any defects and ensuring they are rectified.
- Produce inspection reports and identify remedial works required for the adoption of new drainage assets.
- Provide support to the Head of Waste Water on regional waste water adoption enquiries.
- Assist in budget planning and forecasting for waste water adoption activities.
- Lead on new assets handover, ensuring all relevant records, agreements, and contracts are in place.
- Carry out pre-maintenance inspections, provide snagging lists, and conduct final inspections prior to final adoption.
- Attend air/water tests on new sewer installations to ensure they pass.
- Advise on engineering solutions with developers for complicated installations.
- Liaise closely with ground workers and site agents.
- Risk assess all situations on site to ensure Health & Safety is not compromised.
- Assess new and innovative materials/ideas and implement them as solutions on site, provided they do not compromise our position.
- Develop policies and processes for adoption and ongoing maintenance of sites.
- Experience working in the water industry, particularly in waste water, with a good understanding of the S104 Adoption process.
- Regulatory knowledge and standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them.
- Ability to work on your own initiative with a good attention to detail.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
- Good computer and reporting skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of design and installation of wastewater distribution networks.
