About the Position

SSE plc is looking for a highly skilled Industrial Team Lead to manage a team of industrial staff delivering new connections, reinforcement works, and network restoration in central southern England and the north of Scotland.

The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of electricity distribution, industry awareness of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) operates, and experience managing a team to deliver excellent customer service performance while meeting and exceeding expectations.

This is a full-time position with flexible first options available. A full driving license is required for travel within the licensed area.

Job Description Summary

  • Manage a team of up to 25 industrial staff to deliver new connections, reinforcement works, and network restoration at low voltage and up to 33,000 volts.
  • Ensure all delivery requirements are met, including guaranteed standards, regulatory reporting, and excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.
  • Monitor team performance, track SHE, welfare, compliance, team capabilities, and training portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain technical knowledge of electricity distribution and related market sectors.
  • Develop presentations to review data, assess performance, and communicate vital information to the team.

  • Industry awareness of how a DNO operates and generates revenue.
  • Competent in IT skills, especially data review and presentation development.
