Job Title: Food Manufacturing Production Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Manufacturing Production Manager to oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food production processes, and a commitment to quality and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the production team to ensure the efficient and timely production of high-quality food products while meeting safety and quality standards.
* Take overall responsibility for quality, food safety, GMP and hygiene standards within production area.
* Be an active and contributing member of the site Q&FS Committee and HACCP team.
* Develop, implement, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize downtime.
* Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any product quality issues and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
* Train, motivate, and develop production staff, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and fostering a positive work culture.
* Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods.
* Manage equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and ensure optimal production efficiency.
* Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, challenges, and resolutions to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Ideally a LEAN focused background.
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Significant experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on production management.
* Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance practices, and manufacturing processes.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work outside of day shifts.
