Senior Paediatric Ophthalmology Specialist

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated trainee Ophthalmologist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Ophthalmology. This prestigious fellowship offers advanced sub-specialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology, providing a unique opportunity to acquire skills and expertise in the management of paediatric eye disease.
The fellow will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team of ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and other healthcare professionals to develop their skills in the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric eye conditions, including paediatric cataract, strabismus, and retinopathy of prematurity. The fellow will also participate in screening and treatment for retinopathy of prematurity and gain experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
The fellowship is suitable for a candidate who has completed their ophthalmology training and who wishes to subspecialise in paediatric ophthalmology. It provides clinical and surgical experience in paediatric cataract and glaucoma, ocular motility, retinopathy of prematurity, paediatric uveitis, and genetic eye disease.
