Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to take on an 8a role or a band 7 preceptorship, offering a unique blend of general medical and intensive care experiences. As a Band 7/8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will work closely with a band 8b psychologist to support the ITU department, developing skills in complex assessments, interventions, and consultation.

The role offers flexibility, with options for part-time or job share arrangements, or splitting duties with a part-time post in a similar level position within the service. Our department is known for its friendly, supportive, and flexible environment, with a strong emphasis on supervision and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide complex assessments, interventions, and consultation to patients referred by multiple teams within UHL.
  • Develop and implement level 2 psychological support for patients within UHL.
  • Work closely with the ITU team to develop provision for inpatients and outpatients.
