Special Education Needs Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN / SEND Tutor to join our team at Targeted Provision Ltd. As a SEN / SEND Tutor, you will be responsible for providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet the needs and advance the educational and social-emotional journey of the young person.
- Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the young person's progress.
- Work collaboratively with our SEN / SEND Support Team to ensure a successful placement for the young person.
Requirements
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references
- You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments
