Mathematics Support Assistant

This role is ideal for a recent mathematics graduate who is passionate about education and looking to make a tangible impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the mathematics department in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with grading assignments and exams.
  • Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • A passion for mathematics and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.
