Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). The successful candidate will work closely with the ADI Registrar, making refusal and removal decisions in their absence and providing recommendations to support the Registrar's decisions.

The role requires strong knowledge of the UK regulatory model and legal system, as well as an understanding of the ADI Registrar's role and the policy that affects delivery and design. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret policy and its implications for the operational environment.

About the Role

  • Support the ADI Registrar in assessing decisions that impact the Register of Approved Driving Instructors.
  • Develop policy and associated products from inception of legislation through to implementation.
  • Champion continuous improvement of the service, building a programme of future developments.
  • Determine and plan team requirements, including allocating resources and prioritising activities.
  • Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs.

Working Arrangements

This role can be based in one of several locations, with the expectation that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. We operate a hybrid working model, giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work.
