About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technical Lead Qualifying Supervisor (QS) in our Peterborough office, with the option for remote working. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that inspection and testing results are accurately recorded and fully compliant with British NICEIC standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance the quality and professionalism of services by implementing and maintaining systems that uphold the highest technical and administrative standards within the Electrical Division.
  • Work alongside the Head of Electrical to monitor all relevant statutory and non-statutory standards, ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Oversee the continued professional development of all electrically trained staff.
  • Ensure daily practices meet the rigorous standards set by legislative, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.
  • Manage the technical team, ensuring that all processes and controls are followed to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain the accuracy and operational readiness of the Electrical departments test equipment.
  • Resolve complex technical queries from staff and clients that cannot be addressed by other technical management members.
  • Conduct post-audit inspections and certify completed works to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Review and oversee technical inspections of field-based engineers carried out by other technical management staff.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for engineers, maintaining accurate training records to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Serve as the primary contact for NICEIC assessments, attending annual assessment visits across the UK.
  • Lead on the technical aspects of tender opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the field-based engineering teams.
  • Oversee accreditations and stay informed of legislative changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
