About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team at Gist. As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods between our depots, warehouses, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods between locations, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods, managing traffic and road conditions to minimize delays.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Class 1 driving license with at least 18 months of experience.
- Maximum of 6 endorsements with no accidents in the last 12 months.
- Manual handling of goods or multi-drop experience is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 CPC units.
