Project Engineer - EC&I

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer - EC&I to join our team at H9 Technical Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in project management and control systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Managing complex electrical projects from concept to delivery, including optioneering, feasibility studies, design reviews, and commissioning.
  • Reviewing and resolving issues related to electrical distribution systems, lighting protection systems, and control system installations.
  • Developing an understanding of the existing interconnected infrastructure, including boilers, cooling towers, hydraulics, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.
  • Liaising with internal colleagues and external suppliers to ensure clear communication and effective project delivery.
  • Maintaining the company's priorities in relation to SHEQ while ensuring projects meet their objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Essential: Advanced skills in Electrical, Control Systems, and Instrumentation.
  • Proven experience in project management and control systems.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Areas designation and application.
  • Multidisciplinary awareness (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Process, Maintenance, Operations, etc).
  • Experience working with electrical distribution systems (6.6kV and below).
  • Desirable: Previous experience delivering multi-million-pound construction projects would be advantageous.
  • Formal qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
