About the Position

TimePlan Education seeks a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with PMLD / ASD in a SEND setting.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide individualised support, promote positive behaviour, and foster strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Offer tailored support to students with PMLD / ASD, helping them develop emotional regulation and coping mechanisms.
  2. Build strong relationships with students, creating a safe and inclusive environment where they feel valued and supported.
  3. Collaborate with professionals to implement behaviour plans, track progress, and provide holistic support to students.
Requirements
  • Desirable but not essential: previous experience working with students with PMLD / ASD or other SEN.
  • Exemplary patience, resilience, and calmness, with outstanding communication skills.
  • Able to form strong bonds with students, colleagues, and their support network.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not strictly essential.

For this role, we estimate the hourly rate to be £28-£32, based on experience.
