Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LGV Driver to join our team at Fowler Welch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting customer products while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide high standard of customer service and relations to customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with their site rules and regulations.
  • Transport Operations: Liaise with the Transport Operations desk to make them aware of any potential difficulties, delays or any variations from original brief.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure all documentation is checked against consignment, reporting any issues or differences. Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle while on duty, and leaving the vehicle in clean condition, reporting any defects immediately.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Flexible with shift starting and finishing times. Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Driving Licence – full, clean C+E. Newly qualified HGV Driver subject to assessment and agreed training plan.
  • Experience: Previous experience of working within a FMCG environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Basic fridge operation knowledge: start, stop, clear faults. Able to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment.
