About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled VAT Compliance Supervisor to join our Indirect Tax team at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality VAT compliance services to our clients, ensuring they meet their tax obligations and stay ahead of regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large and varied client portfolio, providing VAT compliance services and advice to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with recent key updates and areas of focus in VAT, applying this knowledge to deliver effective solutions for our clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored advice to support their growth.
  • Work closely with HMRC to ensure compliance with tax regulations and resolve any issues that may arise.
What You'll Need
  • Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT.
  • In-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in VAT.
  • Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
  • Experience of dealing directly with HMRC.
  • Experience of dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ideal CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
