About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team in the Weapons and Sensors Business Area.


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to partner with suppliers, ensure zero defects parts/products, overcome challenges within the supply chain, and safeguard continuity of supply while delivering on time and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities



  • Quality Management System: Ensure that processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Lead Quality Working Groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities identified internally and externally.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform quality escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective/preventive actions via a Management Review Board (MRB) for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Quality Planning: Create and modify Quality Plans for application to subassemblies and major assemblies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse Quality data and manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement and preventative action initiatives to reduce quality costs, through the implementation of mistake proofing.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate product knowledge within area of focus including product intent and installation methods within customer platforms.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilise statistical data to monitor process stability and develop sampling plans.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data then presenting recommendations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risk in product development primarily utilizing Process Flow, Control Plans and FAI etc.
  • APQP/PPAP: Lead APQP/PPAP supplier flow down activities in collaboration with Engineering and Supply Chain.
  • Corrective Actions: Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) process of supplier quality issues in line with AS13000, ensuring a collaborative approach with Suppliers during RCCA investigations and ensuring responses are closed in a timely manner.
  • Challenges and Opportunities: Evaluates the challenges faced by the organisation and the supply chains and takes action to mitigate risks and to develop opportunities.
  • Customer Requirements: Executes to customer requirements including government regulations, public law and Raytheon policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Relationships: Establishes and manages supplier relationships to include supplier continuous improvement/development goals.

  • Negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Supplier Quality strategy
  • Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks


Salary Information


The salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.



Location


This role is based in Glenrothes, Scotland, at our Queensway Industrial Estate site.
