As a member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding clinical outcomes. We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our Peterborough clinic, with the opportunity to travel to other Optical Express clinics as needed.

Job Summary:

  • You will work closely with our surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support.
  • Pre-operative testing, patient discharging, and assisting during consent appointments and treatments are key responsibilities.
  • We require an individual who can adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Undertake pre-operative testing, including conducting tests prior to examination and treatment, and assist during the consent appointment process.
  • Coordinate patient flow on the day of the consent appointment and surgery appointments, ensuring minimum waiting times for patients.
  • Assist the surgeon during consent appointments and treatments, acting as a scrub assistant (LVC only) and taking notes for the surgeon.
