Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Assist qualified therapists and nurses in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients to maximize their potential and reduce the risk of deconditioning.
  • Reablement and Rehabilitation: Carry out treatment programs and facilitate independence with personal activities of daily living (ADLs) on the ward to simulate a typical functional day for patients.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Use a wide range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients, including those with difficulties in understanding or communicating.
  • Organizational and Managerial: Plan and prioritize daily activities, respond to changing circumstances, and delegate tasks to therapy and nursing assistants as needed.
Requirements:
  • Essential Criteria: Education to GCSE standard or equivalent, experience of establishing working relationships with people, and ability to work in a team.
  • Desirable Criteria: NVQ level 3 or equivalent, Care Certificate, experience as a therapy assistant/HCA, and experience in health/social/care settings.
