The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced Capital Programme Support Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful delivery of capital schemes.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and organised individual with strong technical knowledge of construction and legal frameworks, including the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety, and leaseholder legislation. As a Capital Programme Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to the Capital Delivery team, ensuring best practice approaches are followed in capital scheme delivery. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the planning, procurement, and management of the capital works program, monitoring progress on site, quality, budget spend, resident satisfaction, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Capital Delivery team to ensure best practices in the delivery of capital schemes.
  • Contribute to the planning, procurement, and management of the capital works program.
  • Monitor all schemes within the program, overseeing progress on site, quality, budget spend, resident satisfaction, and risk management.
  • Provide update reports as required on the program's status and performance.
  • Effectively manage the performance of contractors and technical consultants.
  • Contribute to finance reports, including cash flow forecasting and budget returns.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life insurance, and generous annual leave entitlement.
