About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to lead our team at the Ashford Unit, delivering specialist psychiatric care within a low secure forensic setting.

As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical leadership and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to manage the psychiatric care of adult patients with intellectual disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in forensic psychiatry, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care.

You will be responsible for conducting detailed psychiatric assessments, developing care plans, and monitoring treatment outcomes.

Additionally, you will lead clinical decision-making and risk management within the team, ensuring patient safety and recovery-focused care.

Participating in service development, quality improvement, and governance activities to enhance care standards and service effectiveness is also a key aspect of this role.
