Job Description

Role Summary

The Royal Air Force is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Training Instructor to join our team. As a Physical Training Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering physical training programs to RAF personnel, promoting healthy lifestyles, and encouraging individuals to achieve their fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement physical training programs for RAF personnel, including fitness coaching, group exercise classes, and individualized training plans.
  • Conduct fitness and health assessments, provide counseling, and offer guidance on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Organize and lead sporting and adventure activities, such as team sports, obstacle courses, and outdoor adventures.
  • Manage and maintain a range of sporting facilities, including gyms, sports fields, and equipment.

Requirements

  • GCSE at Grade C or Scottish National 5 grade C in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Registration with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) or other governing bodies.
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer Award registered with CIMSPA or other governing bodies.
  • Two years' experience teaching physical education within the last five years.
  • Aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday).
  • Citizen of the UK or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK/other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen since birth (with 'right to work' immigration status).
  • Commit to minimum 3 years of service after specialist training.
