Hampshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for a Child Safety Officer to join its School Crossing Patrol Service. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe passage of children to and from school.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring pedestrian flow and taking necessary actions to prevent accidents
  • Collaborating with local authorities and community groups to promote road safety initiatives
  • Providing information and support to parents and carers about road safety best practices

This position requires 10 hours of work per week during term time, typically an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. A uniform is provided, and some basic IT skills are required.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, able to demonstrate traffic awareness, and committed to making Hampshire's roads safer for all users.
