Salary: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £19.28 per hour, with overtime rates after 47.5 hours per week at £24.10, and enhanced rates on Saturday and Sunday at £28.92.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair our HGV fleet to ensure they meet legal and company standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the test centre.
- Record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle.
- Repair minor accident damage.
- Carry out fault diagnosis.
- Actively seek solutions to problems.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Work with various equipment, including vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Manage deadlines effectively and prioritize workload efficiently.
- A positive thinking and self-motivated individual.
- An effective team member who works well on their own initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate an excellent attitude to work.
- No more than 6 minor points on driving license (no CDs, DDs, DRs, or INs).
