Job Title: Apprentice - Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving faults and breakdowns, managing maintenance projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and resolve faults and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Manage maintenance projects from planning to completion, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  3. Install new machines and equipment, ensuring that they are properly configured and tested.
  4. Carry out Predictive Maintenance (PPM) tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
  5. Fault find and repair machinery, using a range of tools and techniques.
  6. Adhere to health and safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified to minimum HNC/HND level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Must have experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Project and maintenance planning experience would be ideal.
  4. Experienced working in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be essential.
  5. Experience working in an FMCG environment would be beneficial but not essential.
  6. Welding experience would be beneficial.
  7. Experience operating CNC lathes.
  8. Hydraulics knowledge/experience.
