Job Title: Data Warehouse Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Manager to lead our team in the production of BAU data loads, storage, DR, reporting, and outbound data. As the authority on database management, development, architecture, and future design considerations, you will provide guidance on performance improvements and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage the data warehouse team, workload, and expectations to deliver all aspects of issues, reporting, and development in a timely fashion.
  • Database Development: Work with the team to build objectives and plans in line with the BI roadmap, leading and mentoring a forward-looking customer-centric Data Warehouse Team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent and promote the interests of the data warehouse team across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU and projects.
  • Delivery Management: Assist with BAU work and report production, including review and continual development of daily and overall warehouse processes/controls to improve performance and reliability.
  • Integration and Optimization: Manage and assist in the integration of new data sources into the data warehouse in a timely fashion to allow reporting and data storage, while monitoring Azure costs and optimizing the data warehouse to reduce spend.

Requirements:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Proven experience in team leadership and development.
  • Database Skills: Expertise in MSSQL/MS SQL Azure, database development, architecture, and design.
  • Database Administration: Experience in database installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups, and recoveries.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Project management experience, scripting languages, and Azure DevOps.
