About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our team at Octavia. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support services to vulnerable older people in our extra care service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Exceptional Care: Provide responsive, respectful, and reliable care and support services to residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and Supervise Care Staff: Supervise care staff through observation and discussion to ensure they are competent in undertaking care and support activities in a dignified and compassionate manner.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance: Audit, observe, and assess competence and compliance of individuals and systems to ensure good quality assurance.
  • Develop and Review Care Plans: Develop and review individual care and support plans with residents, families, and staff to ensure they are of a high standard and meet the needs of residents.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff across Octavia to ensure seamless care and support services.
Requirements
  • Experience: A track record of delivering high-quality care and support services to people with complex needs.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, supervise, and mentor care staff.
  • Safeguarding: Awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and ability to follow Health and Safety and legal requirements in a care and support setting.
  • Knowledge: Good base of job-related skills and experience, with knowledge of current good practice in care and the principles of dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and fulfillment.
